In this technique, Uke attacks Nage attempting to take control of Nage’s shoulder. This is a strong anchoring grip with the intent to control / limit Nage’s center.

Nage counters Uke’s attack with an ura movement, turning off the line of attack, pivoting around uke’s point of contact (force), and from behind applying the counter technique.
